How to Care for Your Window Awnings
Because the sun's out, and you'll be out with it
Window awnings are designed to keep the sun from beating down on your home or business during the summer months. They can also help to reduce the heat used in your house during the winter by shading your windows during the day, and reducing their heating costs at night
Here are some tips for caring for your window awnings
Clean: To clean, simply wipe down with a damp cloth. If you see any dirt or stains in the fabric, use a mild detergent to remove them before washing again. Do not use bleach because this could damage the fabric and cause discoloration
Dry: A good way to dry is using an air-drying setting on your dryer or a dehumidifier set on low humidity settings overnight. You should be able to hang your awning outside after two hours of drying time if you live in an area that doesn't get too hot during summer months. If it takes longer than two hours, put it away until later in the day when temperatures are cooler so that you don't risk damaging it due to excess moisture inside
