Every time it rains, at least 1 of your awning windows will not close all the way. Why
The window is probably not fully closed. Awning windows are tricky to close because they are normally made with only one or two latches. If you try to close them, they won't be able to latch properly and will remain open
If you have an awning on your carport or deck that needs to be closed during rainy weather, here's how to get the job done
1) Open the window completely and check that there are no obstructions in its path. If there are, see if you can move them out of the way so that the window can close completely without being blocked by anything else. If necessary, use a pair of pliers or screwdrivers to remove any obstacles that might be inside the window frame itself (such as screws)
2) Latch one side of the latch and push it up toward the ceiling until it latches into place. Repeat this step for both sides until both latches are tightly locked in place and cannot be moved by hand or pressure from outside forces (such as raindrops). This will help ensure that no water can leak into your vehicle through gaps
awning window won't close all the wayThe sash on an awning window is hinged at the top of the frame, and the bottom swings outward. Some awning windows are pushed open and pulled closed manually with a handle, while others are operated with a hand crank.
