If you have damaged your vinyl picture window, you can easily get it repaired or replaced. You should know how to repair a damaged vinyl picture window so that the job is done within a few hours
Step 1: Remove Window Panel
Remove the damaged panels from your windows by removing the screws that hold them in place. You will need to remove them carefully since they are very easy to damage. Use a screwdriver and be careful not to damage the frame of your window as well
Step 2: Replace Damaged Section
Once you have removed all of the damaged panels, you can replace them with new ones. Measure where each new panel needs to go and then mark it on an old panel using a pencil or marker. Once you have marked it, remove the old panel and cut out the shape with an electric saw or circular saw. Then make sure that there is no nail left in the hole where you cut out the shape because it will hurt when you put in the new panel later on in this step
Step 3: Secure New Sections In Plac
Now that all of your new panels are cut out and ready for installation, secure them in place by putting screws through holes already drilled into them before installing them on top of existing windows
repair vinyl picture windowPicture windows are large fixed windows that create the effect of framing outdoor scenery like a picture frame. Because picture windows do not operate, they’re often paired with windows that do. Picture windows can be assembled with or without a sash. Windows without a sash, also called direct glaze windows, can provide larger unobstructed views.
