How to Install Two Double-Hung Windows in a Hous
The following steps will show you how to install two double-hung windows in a house
Step 1: Determine if the windows are suitable for installation on the exterior of the house
Step 2: Measure the distance between each window and mark it with chalk or paint. You can also use string or duct tape if you have them available. This is done so that you can be sure that they are exactly equal distances apart when they are installed
Step 3: Place one window in position at a time and mark its location on the wall opposite from where it will be placed. Be sure that it is level with the other window's location as well as being spaced evenly apart from them
Step 4: Using nails, screws or wood glue, attach both windows together into place along with any other hardware required for installation such as hinges or locksets depending upon your preference and desired look for your new windows
Step 5: Once all hardware has been installed, check that everything is working properly by opening and closing each window several times while watching out for any gaps in between them or any loose parts falling out of place before proceeding with their installation properly into place
