The first thing you need is some cardboard boxes. You can get them from places like garage sales, thrift stores and even yard sales. The only thing you have to keep in mind is that they have to be large enough for the window frame so it won't fit through the opening
The next step is to cut them up into pieces of equal size, about 2 inches wide x 4 inches deep x 8 feet long for a full-sized window frame
If you're using smaller windows, then just use one piece per window instead of two. If you want a larger frame, just cut it up into pieces that are 4 feet long x 2 feet wide x 5 feet tall (for a mini-frame)
