If you have painted the windows on your house, they are probably looking pretty good. Lovely, even! And if you haven't — good news! With a little prep work, you can make your windows look like new in as little as 1 day

You'll want to start by removing any old caulk around the perimeter of your window. This can be done with a razor blade or a utility knife. If you have painted over caulk, use a putty knife to scrape it off and then use a damp rag to clean up any remaining residue

Next, apply some water-based paint to the surface of each window pane using an old toothbrush or rag. You can start at one corner and work towards the center of each pane. If there are any areas where paint has worn away or peeled off, take care not to touch these areas as they may contain lead components that are dangerous for children and pets if ingested

Once all of the windows have been painted, let them dry completely before proceeding with cleaning them up!
