The Honda Civic 2006 is a compact car manufactured by Honda. It was introduced in August 2005 as a 2003 model year variant. The Civic was the first compact to be built on the platform of Honda's CR-V SUV and was the first to use Honda's new 1.7-liter i-VTEC VTEC engine (shared with the CR-V). In 2006, the Civic received updates to its exterior and interior design. This included revised bumpers, grille, rear bumper and taillights, along with new wheel designs
The Civic also received improved equipment levels including greater legroom in both front and rear seats, an upgraded audio system and power windows on all models except for base LX trim level vehicles which added a radio only option.
