I've created this article to help you get the most out of your old windows for picture frames. I'll show you tips for storing, cleaning and protecting your windows from dust and other damage
Storing Your Window
If you have an older window that is still in good condition, I recommend storing it upright in a drawer or shelf in your closet. This way, if it does become damaged, you can just pull it out and replace it with a new one
You can also keep them on display by hanging them on the wall using two hooks that are spaced at least 24 inches apart from each other. Make sure they are securely anchored at the bottom of the frame so they don't fall down when people walk by
Cleaning Your Window
Once a week or so, clean dust off your windows with a soft cotton cloth dampened with warm water and soap. You can use regular window cleaner too but make sure that you dilute it before applying it to dusty surfaces as this will make it more difficult to wipe away dust particles when using a soft cloth.
