How to replace factory driver-side door window on a 2016 f150 xlt

You purchased a 2016 Ford F-150 and are planning to replace the driver side door window. There are two major types of window systems: a single piece, one hinge and track system or a two piece system with two hinge points. Below we will show you how to repair the factory glass on your new vehicle

Step 1: Check for Window Tin

Before starting any repair, it is important to check for any existing tint on the window. You may also want to check for cracks in the glass where it meets the frame. If you find any cracks, then this may indicate that there was an impact during transit that caused damage to the glass. In this case, it is best to replace both pieces of glass instead of repairing just one section of glass

Step 2: Remove Door Pane

Using your Phillips head screwdriver, remove all screws from both sides of the door panel until it comes apart from its clips at each side of the door frame. Then remove all screws from underneath each side of your new replacement door panel so that it can be removed easily as well as unhooked from each cable at each side of your vehicle (see image below).
